Despite tin prices trending up and reaching a lofty US$37/kg, activity in northwestern Tasmania – a well-known tin province – remains relatively muted with only a handful of companies conducting active operations.
While oft ignored in favour of more visible commodities such as gold, rare earths and lithium due to its being a lower-volume material, tin is nonetheless essential for global electrification efforts.
