Elementos has lodged a Mining Lease Application (“MLA”) with Mineral Resources Tasmania, a Division of the Department of State Growth, Tasmania. The MLA covers the reprocessing of the Cleveland mine tailings, the development of the Cleveland open pit and the redevelopment of the underground tin, copper and tungsten mine, all situated within EL7/2005. The application also covers areas for all necessary infrastructure to support mining operations.
Along with the recent lodgement of a Development Proposal and Environmental Management Plan with the Waratah-Wynyard Council and the Environment Protection Authority Tasmania, the MLA provides all of the necessary approvals required to commence the reprocessing of the historical Cleveland mine tailings, and the dewatering of the underground mine.
The total area under the MLA is 533.5 hectares covering the Cleveland Mine, as well as the Washington Mine, a historical lead, silver, zinc mine.
